This course is designed for those who want to brush the dust off their hieroglyph-reading skills. Over 8 sessions (held on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 2pm-4pm), we’ll revise the basic grammar covered in How to Read Egyptian Hieroglyphs, revisiting old favourites like Offering Formulae and Appeals to the Living. But there will also be the chance to encounter some brand new forms, like the stative and second tenses. You can either attend in person or take this as a distance-learning course.
